Do check with the preferred local mobile network operator if SIMs are on the supported bandwidth.

 As long as bandwidths between operator and watch are compatible, which you can check on https://www.frequencycheck.com/, it can be used with the local mobile operator.

Important note: myFirst Fone R1 supports Prepaid/Postpaid Mobile Smartphone SIMs.

This is definitely an uncommon issue as all our myFirst products had gone through strict testing during the production. myFirst Fone R1/R1s comes with elevated edge screen design which is to protect the watch’s screen on simple impact or prevent it to hit the ground directly. For additional safety, we suggest our customers to use the screen protector which is a tempered glass material.

 The warranty does not cover the screen crack under Warranty Exclusions and Limitations https://store.myfirst.tech/pages/warranty but our team can get it fixed under paid cost and you may contact our customer support at support@oaxis.com for appointment link to visit our service center for the repair service.

 Below are some examples for screen crack issues:-

Our myFirst Fone watch series are splash proof as stated on the packaging with waterproof rating of IPX7 for myFirst Fone R1 and IPX8 for myFirst Fone R1s. Which means the watch can be submerged for 1 meter or deeper in water for 30 minutes without involving water movement. Our watches are water resistant to accidental spill or splash of water but to avoid water damage, we would recommend our customers to avoid swimming/showering /walking in the rain with the watch, and avoid using the watch in sauna or steam room, as the resistance might decrease when water movement involves or under extremely humid conditions. Although it is not covered under warranty, our team will be able to check and try to get it fixed.

Make sure you have inserted a Nano SIM card that comes with Talk Time and Data. Caller ID is also needed in some countries. Remember to top up the credit and activate the SIM card in the mobile device beforehand (if it's a new sim card). While inserting the SIM card, make sure the SIM card tray is inserted in the correct direction. The arrow of the SIM card tray should be pointing downwards toward the gap.

Sometimes, when you need to remove the SIM card from the watch, do remember to restart the watch after you have reinserted the SIM card again. Another thing to take note of is the watch number and the admin number are being filled correctly. Below are the steps to edit the admin's details: 

• Click on Settings

• Profile icon

• Click on your profile 

• (Check) Edit your phone number accordingly (The phone number should not have spaces in between), and click "SAVE".

Our devices can only support network by Singtel, StarHub and M1 at the moment, which also include Circle Life, GOMO and others MVNO.

Actual working time varies based on the smartwatch setting and the frequency of the location updates. myFirst Fone R1 is able to last for 60 hours in standby mode (all feature settings are turned off). Under normal usage, it will usually last up to a day (up to 16 hours). Daily charging is required. Here is a guide on how to have a longer battery life on using the myFirst Fone R1:-

1. Set the brightness of myFirst Fone R1s to low. You could swipe down on the main screen and you will see 6 icons, top right icon is to adjust the brightness of the screen.

2.Set the GPS location update (Tracking Mode) on myFirstFone app to update every 1 hour to reduce the power consumption. You could set to shorter tracking update time when you need to know the exact location of your child eg. while travelling to school / returning from school.

3.Turn off auto tracking in tracking mode and monitor battery drainage

4. Make sure the watch is charged 1-1.5 hours and no charging over night

5. Check the SIM Tray input direction

6. Make sure watch firmware and myFirst Fone app is updated to latest version

myFirst Fone R1 does not come with Vibrate Mode but it is available on myFirst Fone R1S model. To turn off the volume, swipe down the main screen and select volume icon to adjust the sound level.

The watch strap is not easy to break as it had gone through strict testing during the production. The strap can withstand quite heavy weighs and if there is no much force applied it should not dismantle that easily. As the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, you may proceed to purchase a new pair of strap from the link below.
